Love can be interpreted and applied in many ways – from it being a thick curtain from reality to it being an excuse to some choices we make.
Love has many definitions depending on its IMPACT. Like any experiences, its value to one is how painful, bitter or mature it makes you.
Its presence overwhelms the spirit and the mind. It stretches man’s capabilities and reasons beyond limitations, sometimes causing confusion. And its absence could promote instability, insecurity or emptiness. Without it, we cannot justify compassion, forgiveness and peace – life is not.
For me, LOVE is the essence of everything wonderful. It’s the passion behind actions unforeseen, unexpected and unfamiliar, without the fear. Love is a cocktail of faith, trust, integrity, understanding, compromise, commitment and devotion. Love is a discovered territory with a lot of unexplored areas. There’s a lot to learn everyday.
Love… it sneaks up on you when you least expect it; an event that will take you away from your comfort zone and totally turns your world upside down. The only thing that is still sacred in our hearts that would last a lifetime.
So many stories have been told about it and it echoes through the ages. It scares you stupid but the satisfaction you attain just for being able to give it provides you comfort at the same time. We have expectations of how things should be but that’s when we fall.
All the accompanied promises and challenges pushes you to a contained world where your focus is to that of who is now the most important being and nothing else matters. And that’s not how you really like it as it can hurt you really bad, but why is this happening?
The newborn baby, the loss of your loved one, letting go, the union of marriage, the sacrifices… all damn daunting but then the realization that things are meant to be this way “because”, is the mystery that we soon accept and embrace just “because”.
“When do I learn?” I say. Love will never cease to come as long as I see the beauty of what is behind and beyond the reason, the person and the situation. Love is beautiful no matter how it hurts. Ahhh… call me a fool but it’s a “reward” that I deserve.
